Recent tweets have included backstage shots of one of the girls touching up Huntsman’s TV makeup, mocking comments about Mitt Romney and a snappy defense of their father’s position in the race.

“To set the record straight, Dad and our fam couldn’t be more excited about the race and continue working hard to win the nomination,” reads a tweet from Saturday.

The girls dismissed concern over Huntsman’s current single-digit status in national polls.

“Every week there’s a new front-runner,” Livingston said. “We all feel that my dad has that understanding of the world that maybe others don’t have in the race right now.”
