Hoyer names political tricks and treats
{mosads}Hoyer used the hashtag #GOPTrickorTreat; several other House Democrats also picked up the theme.
Rep. Joe Baca (D-Calif.) tweeted a similar message to Hoyer’s “Trick” tweet: “How’s this for a Halloween horror story? Republicans have had control of the House for 300 days — and they still don’t have a jobs agenda.”
Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) tweeted a less partisan message about the Halloween card she sent to colleagues along with Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.), co-sponsor of the SUGAR Act to end federal subsidies to the sugar industry.
Many other lawmakers on both sides of the aisle promoted safety when trick-or-treating tonight. Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-N.Y.) tweeted: “I urge residents to take the necessary precautions to make sure that you and your loved ones are safe on Halloween.”
