Kerry jokes about his sub-par confirmation
Secretary of State John Kerry joked on Twitter Thursday about why he wasn’t confirmed by the Senate by the same proportion as Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.).
That day, the Senate confirmed Baucus 96-0 to be the new United States ambassador to China.
Kerry said he was confirmed by the Senate to head the State Department only 94-3.
Max Baucus confirmed 96-0! Big congrats to Big Max. How come I was only confirmed 94-3?

The Senate confirmed Kerry in Jan. 2013, with Sens. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Ted Cruz (R-Texas) casting the only “no” votes.
Kerry had served in the Senate 28 years and was chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 2009 until he stepped down last year.
This week, Kerry resurrected his official Twitter account after it was on hiatus for a year.
