Walsh complains about protesters’ vomit in his office

{mosads}”My office was invaded by the Occupy Protesters today & all I saw were $1000 laptops & vomit on the carpet. Thank God for #febreze,”  Walsh (R-Ill.) tweeted late Tuesday night.

Walsh was referring to a group of almost two dozen unemployed citizens who were trying to speak with Walsh about American unemployment in the U.S. on Tuesday. The group was part of a MoveOn.org protest that day.

According to a spokesman for Walsh, one protester threw up on the floor of his office during the protest.

Walsh has a history of clashing with the Occupy Wall Street movement protesters. He has called the movement an “anti-American, well-funded left-wing effort” whose supporters are “generally spoiled, pampered, unfocused, clueless young people and a smattering of other people who don’t understand this country and are advocating anti-American solutions.”

On Tuesday, groups of the more than 3,000 protesters stopped by the offices of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Sens. Scott Brown (R-Mass.), Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas) and Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), as well as Reps. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas), Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) and Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), among others.

One witness said Ryan closed his office to the protesters and hung a sign saying he would only meet with those who had an appointment, while a McConnell spokesman said his office offered the protesters a meeting with their legislative director, which the protesters declined.

Still, some lawmakers met with the protesters.

Rep. Lou Barletta (R-Pa.) tweeted a picture of himself addressing a small crowd of protesters outside his office.

“Rep. Barletta speaks to #Occupy Capitol Hill participants from PA about job creation & economic recovery,” he tweeted.

And Rep. Denny Rehberg (R-Mont.) also said he met with protesters.

“Thanks to Starla Gade & 16 other ‘Occupy’ folks for meeting with me. My doors are open to all & I agree with them that jobs are important,” Rehberg tweeted.
