Sen. Dan Coats (R-Ind.) on Friday joked about the top 10 things he won’t be able to do now that Vladimir Putin has banned him from Russia.
He posted the ranking on Twitter, a day after Putin sanctioned him and other American officials.
He has to cancel his tennis match with Mario Sharapova, considered Russia’s top tennis player and one of the world’s best.
The Republican senator said he can’t compare Moscow’s Bolshoi Opera House to a major performing arts venue in Carmel, Indiana.
In response to United States sanctions against Russia, Putin announced a set of his own on Thursday targeting American officials, including members of Congress.
“While I’m disappointed that I won’t be able to go on vacation with my family in Siberia this summer, I am honored to be on this list,” Coats said after the announcement.
