Sandy Hook survivors tweet photos from Obama’s visit

{mosads}Obama traveled to Newtown, Conn., on Sunday to meet with the survivors and attend a prayer vigil.

The White House did not release photos of the president’s meeting with the victims’ families, but many of the families did so through social media. Those photos include evidence of a message Obama left on one classroom white board, his rapport with some of the children, and his embrace of the granddaughter to Sandy Hook Elementary School’s Principal Dawn Hochsprung.

Hochsprung died attempting to stop the shooter who opened fire at Sandy Hook last Friday, killing 26, including 20 children.

Obama told Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy (D) that Friday, the day of the shooting, was the most difficult day of his presidency. Obama addressed the nation on Friday, wiping away tears while saying “our hearts are broken today for the parents and grandparents, sisters and brothers of these little children, and for the families of the adults who were lost.”
