GOP lawmaker tweets about empty offices on Capitol Hill
{mosads}Although Congress could go past the holidays negotiating a deal to avoid the “fiscal cliff,” a new Congress will be sworn in on Jan. 3 no matter what.
But the past two weeks have been filled with final speeches in both chambers, and exiting members, both those who are retiring and those who lost reelection, are packing up their offices.
Plus, many members are moving offices — Reps. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) tweeted about his move last week — which leaves furniture sitting in many office hallways, as evident in Pearce’s photo:
