Inaugural committee posts official playlist

{mosads}The playlist is accessible on the president’s channel on Spotify and includes music by some of Obama’s favorite artists and the artists who will be performing in Washington, D.C., during inauguration, such as Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson and James Taylor.

Obama first began sharing music on the popular music-streaming service Spotify during his reelection campaign. His Spotify channel now includes an official 2012 campaign playlist, supporter picks and first lady Michelle Obama’s workout playlist.

The inaugural playlist overlaps with the campaign playlist on a few songs, such as Beyonce’s “I Was Here,” James Taylor’s “Your Smiling Face” and Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours).”

Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, Alicia Keys, Brad Paisley, Marc Anthony, Usher, Smokey Robinson, the Far East Movement, John Legend, Marc Anthony, Nick Cannon, fun., Mindless Behavior, cast members from “Glee” and the Soul Children of Chicago — all of whom will perform at one of the inaugural balls the weekend of Jan. 19 — are also included on the playlist.
