Sen. Burr questions Biden on shotguns

{mosads}Biden was making the argument that banning assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines would help take the “mass” out of “mass shooting.” Questioned about those who are concerned they need guns for self-defense in the event of a doomsday scenario, Biden said a shotgun is better than an assault weapon in such cases.

“A shotgun will keep you a lot safer, a double-barrel shotgun, than an assault weapon in someone’s hands, who doesn’t know how to use it, even one who does know how to use it. You know, it’s harder to use an assault weapon to hit something than a shotgun, OK? So you want to keep people away during an earthquake, buy some shotgun shells,” he said during a Google Plus Hangout to discuss the administration’s proposals to reduce gun violence.
