Christie adviser calls Paul’s ‘King of Bacon’ jab ‘a joke’
{mosads}Paul, during an interview on CNN, pushed back on criticism by Christie that he was bringing an excessive amount of funding to his homestate by saying that the New Jersey is the “king of bacon talking about bacon.”
DuHaime responded over Twitter.
@PoliticalTicker What a joke. New Jersey’s budget is smaller today than in FY ’08. Too bad the federal goverrnment can’t say that.

Christie and Paul have been exchanging verbal blows since Thursday when Christie warned of a “dangerous” libertarian streak going through the Republican Party on national security, an allusion to libertarian members of the GOP including Paul. Since then the two Republicans, both of whom have been mentioned as strong presidential candidates in 2016, have directed criticism at each other during various t.v. and radio appearances.
