Rice takes to Twitter to bolster argument for intervention in Syria

National Security Adviser Susan Rice took to Twitter Saturday morning to bolster the White House’s case for military strikes against Syria to prevent “attacks on innocents using world’s most heinous weapons.”

{mosads}Rice repeated Secretary of State John Kerry’s comments on Friday that the evidence is clear that Syrian President Bashar Assad’s government was responsible for chemical weapons (CW) attacks last month in the suburbs of Damascus.

Rice also tweeted that the administration now has to decide how to punish the Assad regime and prevent it from using chemical weapons again.

The former United Nations ambassador also stressed that President Obama and administration officials are in contact with lawmakers and other governments.

Finally, Rice stressed the role U.S. security plays in any decision regarding a military response.
