Top Israeli official’s wife sorry for racist Obama joke
The wife of Israeli Interior Minister Silvan Shalom apologized on Sunday for tweeting a racist joke about President Obama.

Israeli TV host Judy Shalom Nir-Mozes, who said she regretted the quip, faced strong criticism for it online.

Nir-Mozes has since deleted the offending post, according to Haaretz.
The paper noted that her husband is responsible for overseeing strategic dialogue between Israel and the U.S.
Tensions between the nations are already strained recently over a proposed deal on Iran’s nuclear arms research.
President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu disagree over how the global community should handle Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons.
