Coburn: Budget borrows $1T in just 73 pages
The saying, “The bigger they are, the harder they fall,” may not apply to the federal budget.
That is at least the perspective of one conservative lawmaker, who notes what the federal budget does in a mere 73 pages of legislation.
Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) tweeted Monday:
It’s budget week in the Senate.The budget is only 73 pages long, but manages to borrow more than $1 trillion from the next generation
