Report: Explosion near Khomeini’s tomb

Iran state media is reporting an explosion at the tomb of a former ayatollah, NBC’s Ann Curry tweets.

Iran state tv claims explosion at tomb of revered Ayatollah Khomeini. Would incite anger against protesters. Is it true? #iranelection

Curry, wisely, points out that the report cannot be verified.

Remember Iran govt is the only source of this explosion report. NO independent confirmation and misinformation is dangerous.

Meanwhile, New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof expresses his admiration for the dissenters.
