After trying his hand at tweeting on Tuesday, it appears as if New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg will make Twitter an occasional habit.
Although Bloomberg has had a Twitter account for some time before this week, his staff made all of his tweets.
The mayor’s account tweeted guidelines for his personal tweeting on Thursday:
How to know when Mike himself is tweeting: Tweets from Mike use “I” or signed “-mike” Otherwise tweet is by staff http://bit.ly/35zg4E
“In terms of Twitter, it’s new technology. You got to try everything and see. One of the problems is understanding the new world – and all of us have to. If you want to be part of it, you’ve got to keep trying everything,” Bloomberg said in the linked statement.
Bloomberg was supposed to personally tweet himself on Sunday, but postponed the experiment due to Saturday’s tragic accident involving a small plane and a helicopter over the Hudson River.
