In a rare display of bipartisanship this summer, a Senate Democrat reached across the aisle to a prominent Republican colleague, asking the latter to join him on a hike through the Rocky Mountain National Park in his home state.
Sen. Mark Udall (D-Colo.) and Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) navigated the rough Colorado terrain on Monday and McCain tweeted about it:

It looks like the Rocky Mountain wilderness is one of the only places its safe for Democrats and Republicans to work together these days!
