One of the most high-profile political Twitterers visited with the chiefs of the popular microblogging site on Wednesday.
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R-Calif.) met with Twitter CEO/co-founder Evan Williams and co-founder Biz Stone and held a web chat with the duo. His visit represents one of the only, if not the first, time a politician has traveled to Twitter’s headquarters.
The company is based in San Francisco.
The actor-turned governor recently launched a “Twitter forum” to allow followers and Californians to suggest ideas that could improve the state via Twitter.
Both Schwarzenegger and Twitter’s official accounts tweeted light-hearted dispatches from the meeting:
Looking forward to checking out Twitter HQ today and chatting with @ev and @biz. We’ll be webcasting, so stay tuned.
Tidying up the office in preparation for a visit with @schwarzenegger. Lots of questions!
If you want to send in questions for my webchat at twitter hq with @ev and @biz, now is the time. You snooze, you lose.

Thanks @ev and @biz for the great talk. I’m looking forward to showing you my office in Sacramento.
We’ve realized in talking to the Governor that Twitter HQ needs a weight room.
Thanks so much @Schwarzenegger for the great insight today. We hope you enjoyed your stay at Twitter HQ!
