•AGRICULTURE. Lesher & Russell have been registered to lobby for Kraft Foods Global Inc. on issues related to the food and beverage industry. William Lesher, Randall Russell and Tyson Redpath, a former staffer to then-House Majority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio), are listed to lobby for Kraft, according to Senate records.

•BIOFUELS. Van Ness Feldman has registered to lobby for a number of groups on biofuel issues. The law firm has registered to lobby for the Cellulosic Biofuel Working Group, an alliance of companies interested in policies that promote biofuels; Green Earth Fuels of Houston, a biodiesel refining company; Leucadia International Corporation, which is involved in a broad range of industries related to natural resources and energy investment; and Seattle biotech company Target Growth Inc.

Curt Rich, a former natural resources and energy counsel to Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.), and Christopher Bohanon are listed as lobbyists for the biofuel working group Green Earth Fuels and Target Growth.

•BIOTECH. Fierce, Isakowitz and Blalock has been registered to lobby for Cambridge, Mass.-based Momenta Pharmaceuticals Inc. Kirk Blalock, a former special assistant to President Bush, and Katie Braden Huffard, a former staff director for the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions subcommittee on aging, are among those listed to lobby for the biotech company.

•DEFENSE. Several lobbyists at Sonny Callahan and Associates of Mobile, Ala., have been registered to lobby for Digital Fusion, a defense contractor headquartered in Huntsville, Ala. Those registered include Callahan, a former House member from Alabama, Braxton Counts III, Dan Cushing, Mike Sharp and Clay Swanzy, a former chief of staff to Rep. Terry Everett (R-Ala.).

•TAXES. Several former congressional and Department of Treasury staffers now working for Capitol Tax Partners have been listed to lobby for Microsoft Corp. Former Assistant Treasury Secretary for Tax Policy Jonathan Talisman, former Deputy Chief of Staff for the Joint Committee on Taxation Richard Grafmayer, former Ways and Means oversight subcommittee Staff Director William McKenney and former Treasury Tax Legislative Counsel Joseph Mikrul are among those listed to lobby for Microsoft, which seeks legislative and regulatory guidance, according to Senate records.
