•John Ullyot will join the Washington office of Hill & Knowlton as its senior vice president of media relations and issues management. Ullyot is the communications director and deputy chief of staff for Sen. John Warner (R-Va.) as well as a former communications director and deputy chief of staff for Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) from 1996–99.

•Laura Badian has been hired by Arnold & Porter as counsel. Badian, a former special counsel for the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), comes from Kalorama Partners, a business consulting firm founded by former SEC Chairman Harvey Pitt.

{mosads}•Ryan Donovan will join the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) as its vice president of federal legislative affairs. Donovan, a former chief of staff and legislative director for Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.), will leave his position as director of federal government affairs for the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues.

•Peter Zeidenberg, a Department of Justice (DoJ) trial attorney, has been hired by the Washington office of DLA Piper as a partner. Zeidenberg has worked in DoJ’s Public Integrity section and also was an assistant U.S. attorney in the District of Columbia.

•Larry E. Christensen has joined Miller & Chevalier as a member. Christensen joins the firm after leaving JPMorgan Chase Vastera. Christensen also served 11 years in the Commerce Department.

•George Odden has been hired by Houlihan Lokey as the new director for its aerospace defense government group. Odden was vice president of mergers and acquisitions for Honeywell Aerospace prior to joining the investment firm. Odden has also spent six years in the Navy and served during the first Gulf War.

•Jan Sternin has been hired by the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) as a senior vice president. Sternin was previously with Midland Loan Services.
