•DEFENSE: ADA Technologies Inc. has hired Ian Pfeiffer Government Relations to lobby on the Department of Defense authorization and appropriations bills.

•EDUCATION: D&P Creative Strategies has registered to lobby for USA Funds, a guarantor of student loans. Ingrid M. Duran and Catherine M. Pino are listed as lobbyists on higher education and financial aid issues, according to records filed with the Senate.

{mosads}•ENERGY: Environmental group Greenpeace has registered to lobby on a variety of energy and environmental issues. In a form filed with the Senate, Greenpeace lists Rick Hind and Phil Kline among its lobbyists.

Lawrence Grossman of the Grossman Group LLC is lobbying on energy issues for two clients. According to records filed with the Senate, Grossman will represent uranium enrichment and services company USEC Inc. on issues affecting that industry, and BioEnergy Systems Inc. on matters of alternative energy development.

A.G. Kaffes and Associates LLC has registered to lobby for Smartcool Systems USA Inc., an energy conservation company. Andrew Kaffes, the only lobbyist listed on a form filed with the Senate Office of Public Records, will work to increase visibility and awareness of energy-efficient technologies.  

•HOMELAND SECURITY: Oxley Consulting has registered to lobby for SkyLink Air & Logistic Support Inc., a company based in Dulles, on the Homeland Security appropriations bill and transportation issues. M.C. Elvis Oxley is the sole lobbyist listed on a registration form filed with the Senate.
