•Luis Campillo has joined Mickey Ibarra & Associates as an associate. Campillo is a former legislative aide to Sen. Jack Reed (D-R.I.) and was also a public policy fellow at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute and worked at the National Immigration Law Center.
•Jerry Fowler will be the new executive director of the Save Darfur Coalition. Fowler joins the human rights advocacy group from the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, where he served as director of its Committee on Conscience.
{mosads}•Claudia Schlosberg will join the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) as its new director of policy and advocacy. Schlosberg was a principal at Schlosberg Consulting and partner at Blank Rome. She also served at the Department of Health and Human Services.
•Matthew Gerson has been promoted at the Universal Music Group to executive vice president for public policy and government affairs.
Gerson will continue to work in the company’s Washington office. Gerson has worked for the Motion Picture Association of America in the past and is a former attorney for the Senate Judiciary Committee.
•Phillip R. Day was named as the new president and chief executive officer of the National Association of Student Financial Aid. Day most recently served as the chancellor of City College of San Francisco.
•Jeffrey Julin is the new chairman and chief executive officer of the Public Relations Society of America. Julin is president of MGA Communications, a firm based in Denver, Colo.
•Andrew Currie has joined Venable as a new partner in its Baltimore office. He will focus on bankruptcy cases. He most recently worked at Wilmer Hale.
