Laura Ingraham: ‘No point pretending’ GOP can pass healthcare on its own
Conservative commentator Laura Ingraham on Tuesday said Republicans must admit they need to work with Democrats in order to pass legislation on healthcare or “do nothing.”
“There’s no point pretending that the GOP will pass major legislation on its own. Must either work w/ Dems or do nothing,” she tweeted Tuesday morning.

{mosads}Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Monday announced that the Senate would move forward on a bill to repeal ObamaCare, and work on a replacement plan later. The move came after the GOP’s ObamaCare replacement bill fell apart when four GOP senators came out against it.
President Trump, who has frequently urged Republicans to find a way to pass a healthcare bill, backed McConnell’s plan to try to pass a clean repeal of ObamaCare.
Republican Sens. Shelley Moore Capito (W.Va.) and Susan Collins (Maine) on Tuesday morning came out against the plan, leaving the GOP with no room for error. If one more Republican opposes repeal-only legislation, there won’t be enough GOP support to pass the Senate.
