• Elizabeth Coffin has joined United Technologies Corp. as director of tax affairs in its Washington office. Coffin most recently served as tax counsel to the Republican staff of the House Committee on Ways and Means, where she advised ranking member Rep. Jim McCrery (R-La.).
• A.J. Wojciak has joined Capitol Hill Strategies as its new vice president. Wojciak comes to the firm from the BlueCross BlueShield Association, where he was the senior Democratic lobbyist since 2004. Wojciak also was a senior legislative assistant to Rep. Earl Pomeroy (D-N.D.), who serves on the House Ways and Means Committee.
{mosads}• Ken Levinson will be the senior director of global government affairs for AstraZeneca. Levinson most recently served as senior vice president at Fontheim International. Levinson also worked for Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.), a senior member of both the Senate Finance Committee and the Senate Commerce Committee.
• Charles Dean Connor has been appointed as the new chief operating officer of the American Lung Association. He joins the group from the American Red Cross, where he was senior vice president for communication and marketing at the national headquarters in Washington, D.C.
• Kevin Kraushaar has become the managing principal of Triadvocates. Kraushaar joins the firm after 15 years with the Consumer Healthcare Products Association, where he managed the trade group’s federal and state government relations efforts as vice president of government relations.
• Daniel Duff joined the Washington, D.C., office of Thompson Coburn as of counsel. Duff served as chief counsel and vice president of government affairs at the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) as well as assistant chief counsel at the Federal Transit Administration of the Department of Transportation.
• The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) has added Erin Dozier as an associate general counsel and Myra Dandridge as director of its government relations team. Prior to joining NAB in January 2007, Dandridge served as communications director for the Congressional Black Caucus. Dozier previously worked at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton before joining NAB earlier this month.
• Emily DeRocco will become a senior vice president at the National Association of Manufacturers. DeRocco will also be president of the Manufacturing Institute’s National Center for the American Workforce. DeRocco was an assistant secretary at the Department of Labor.
• Cybele K. Daley has joined Van Scoyoc Associates as a vice president. Having worked in Washington for 20 years, Daley most recently was an acting assistant attorney general at the Justice Department and served in several other positions at the department.
• William E. Moschella will join Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck as of counsel in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office. Moschella was the associate deputy attorney general and former assistant attorney general for the Justice Department’s Office of Legislative Affairs.
