Tomi Lahren to join Fox News

Conservative political commentator Tomi Lahren is joining Fox News as a contributor, the network announced Wednesday.

Lahren shared the news on her Facebook page after the network announced the signing.

Lahren will debut in her new role as an opinion contributor on Sean Hannity’s show at 10 p.m. on Wednesday.

{mosads}She exploded onto the political media scene after a series of viral videos in which she supported President Trump and derided his critics.

She has nearly 800,000 followers on Twitter.

The 25-year-old hosted the “Tomi” show on Glenn Beck’s The Blaze until April, when she and Beck parted ways after a battle that played out publicly following Lahren’s comments on abortion on “The View.”

“You know what? I’m for limited government, so stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body as well,” Lahren said on the ABC show in March.

She previously hosted a “On Point with Tomi Lahren” for the One America News Network.

Lahren in May accepted a position to work with a pro-Trump advocacy group, Great America Alliance (GAA), according to the nonprofit organization.

“The liberal establishment and mainstream media continue to fight our President at every turn, so it’s critical for all Americans to step up and do all they can to advance the America First agenda,” said Lahren in a statement announcing her hiring.

Lahren, however, had publicly stated a desire to be back on television again.

“It’s my job. This is my life,” she said in April. “Without that, I feel lost. When your outlet is taken away from you, when your catharsis is stripped from you and you don’t understand why and you’re so disappointed and you’re so blindsided by it — it hurts.”

Fox finished August as the most-watched channel on basic cable for the 14th consecutive month, according to Nielsen Media Research.
