Report: Melania Trump to visit drug treatment center in West Virginia
First lady Melania Trump will visit a drug treatment center in West Virginia Tuesday amid the nation’s ongoing opioid epidemic, CNN reported Monday.
Trump will reportedly visit Lily’s Place, a recovery center in Huntington, that provides medical care to infants exposed to drugs while in the womb.
It will be Trump’s first visit to such a facility during her husband’s presidency.

The first lady previously held an opioid roundtable in September at the White House, her first solo policy discussion.
When asked by CNN why Trump is choosing to highlight the infants, a spokeswoman said, “To help babies born addicted truly succeed, we must help their parents succeed.”
President Trump said in August he would declare the opioid epidemic a national emergency, but his administration has not yet made a formal declaration or taken further action.
Officials have said it’s still undergoing a legal review.
