• Gina E. Mahony has joined Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck as a policy director. Mahony most recently served as senior policy adviser to House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) and a fundraiser for AmeriPAC , his leadership political action committee. Prior to joining Hoyer’s staff, she worked as a senior legislative aide to former Democratic Reps. Calvin Dooley (Calif.), Harold Ford Jr. (Tenn.) and Tim Roemer (Ind.).

• Bryan Corbett has joined the Carlyle Group as a principal in the firm’s government affairs team. Prior to joining the private equity firm, Corbett served in the Bush administration as special assistant to the president for economic policy and as a senior adviser to Deputy Secretary Robert Kimmitt at the Treasury Department.

{mosads}• Grace Hinchman has joined the American Academy of Actuaries as executive director. Hinchman comes from Financial Executives International , were she was senior vice president of public affairs. She served previously in the offices of former Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan (D-N.Y.) and former Rep. David Emery (R-Maine).

• John M. Little has joined Petrizzo Strategic Group as senior vice president. Little most recently served as chief of staff to Sen. Mel Martinez (R-Fla.). Prior to that, he was legislative director for Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.).

• Geoff Werth has joined U.S. Oncology as director of federal government relations. Werth most recently served as a lobbyist for the American College of Surgeons . He served previously as an aide to Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) and in the office of former Minority Leader Dick Gephardt (D-Mo.).

• Jesse Milan Jr., an advocate on HIV/AIDS issues, has joined the Altarum Institute as director of its community health systems group. Prior to joining Altarum, Milan served as senior health policy expert at SRA Constella Group, where he was project director for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Prevention Information Network .

• Richard Ades has been named partner at Prism Public Affairs , which he joined in 2006 after serving as a senior vice president at Powell Tate/Weber Shandwick .
