• FILM. Six Nations Studios hired GSP Consulting Corp. The movie production studio is seeking federal appropriations.

• FINANCIAL SERVICES. Rich Feuer Group is lobbying for Citigroup on “legislation and regulation affecting financial services,” federal lobbying records show.

{mosads} LOCAL. Bowling Green Department of Public Utilities hired Ferguson Group to lobby for federal appropriations.

Van Scoyoc Associates is lobbying for the New York Botanical Garden. The firm is seeking federal appropriations to support the garden.

McBee Strategic Consulting is lobbying for the city of Tacoma, Wash., on transportation issues. Steve McBee, a former legislative aide to Rep. Norm Dicks (D-Wash.), and Jeff Markey, former legislative director to Rep. Doc Hastings (R-Wash.), are lobbying for Tacoma.

• OIL AND GAS. The Arctic Slope Regional Corp., which represents the Arctic Slope Inupiat, hired Bartley O’Hara to lobby to extend a tax break for small refiners, Senate lobbying records show.

Shell Oil Co. hired Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld to lobby on energy issues, including climate change and carbon capture and sequestration. Jayne Fitzgerald and Rob Leonard, both former tax counsels on the House Ways and Means Committee, are helping to lobby on behalf of the oil giant.

Tristan Oil hired Covington & Burling to lobby the State Department on an issue relating to Kazakhstan.

• RENEWABLES. Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is lobbying for First Wind Energy. Michael Levy, a former top Treasury Department official, and Kyle Simpson, a former Energy Department official, lobbied on behalf of the company on the economic stimulus and renewable tax energy legislation.

• TRANSPORTATION. Kamlet Shepherd & Reichert is lobbying for the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The American Trucking Associations hired Mary Phillips to lobby on highway reauthorization issues.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (DoT) hired Clark Hill to lobby on the economic recovery package and the reauthorization of the transportation bill. Daniel Beattie, former chief of staff to Rep. John Dingell (D-Mich.), and John Van Fossen, former chief of staff to Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R-Mich.), are lobbying on behalf of the state DoT.
