Fox host: Ocasio-Cortez’s ‘brain is as empty as socialism itself’
Fox Business News host Lisa Kennedy said Monday that she enjoys Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-N.Y.) tweets and Instagram livestreams because they show “how empty-headed she really is.”
“And her brain is as empty as socialism itself and the ideas that she pushes,” she added while hosting the Fox News show “Outnumbered.”
Ocasio-Cortez is a self-described democratic socialist.
{mosads}Ocasio-Cortez, who unseated veteran Rep. Joseph Crowley (D-N.Y.) in the primaries, has become a well-known progressive figure even as an incoming House freshman. She is pushing progressive ideas such as single-payer health-care system, tuition-free public college and a so-called New Green Deal.
Her prominence puts her into the crosshairs of various conservatives.
On Monday, the “Outnumbered” panel discussed Ocasio-Cortez’s latest spat with the president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr.
“I have noticed that Junior here has a habit of posting nonsense about me whenever the Mueller investigation heats up,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter last week, after Trump Jr. posted a meme that suggested socialists eat dogs.
“Please, keep it coming Jr — it’s definitely a ‘very, very large brain’ idea to troll a member of a body that will have subpoena power in a month. Have fun!”

Kennedy added Monday that Ocasio-Cortez should stop counter-trolling Trump Jr. and other members of the president’s family.
“She needs to revert back to what it was about her that resonated with voters that allowed her to unseat a popular longterm incumbent in a primary,” Kennedy said.
“She’s gotten away from that and she’s bought into her own mystique, which has certainly tarnished a bit in the last few interviews,” she added.
