TRADE. R.T.G. Furniture Corp hired K&L Gates to work on issues related to tariffs. Stacy Ettinger, former senior counsel to Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and James Sartucci, former legislative director to ex-Sen. Trent Lott (R-Miss.), among others, will work on the account.
Campari America, a liquor and cordial manufacturer and distributor, hired Sonoran Policy Group to work on issues relating to Section 301. Robert Stryk, former staff assistant to ex-Rep. Jim Kolbe (R-Ariz.), will work on the account.
Lasko Products, a manufacturer of air cooling and heating products, hired the Vogel Group to work on issues relating to Section 301. Alex Vogel, former chief counsel to ex-Sen. Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tenn.); Brian Johnson, a former director of federal affairs at the American Petroleum Institute; and Samir Kapadia, former staffer involved with government relations at the Heritage Foundation, will work on the account.
360 Sweater Company, based in California, also hired the Vogel Group to work on issues relating to Section 301. Vogel, Johnson and Kapadia will also work on the account.
DEFENSE. A data services company for the building industry, Gordian, hired Cassidy & Associates to pursue targeted marketing initiatives within the Department of Defense and other federal agencies. Michael Johnson, former congressional liaison to the Defense Department’s Office of the Secretary of Defense, and Charles Sydnor, former legislative counsel to Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.), among others, will work on the account.
Churchill County, Nevada, also hired Cassidy & Associates to work on municipal land tenure matters, among other issues. Kai Anderson, former deputy chief of staff to ex-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), and Sydnor, among others, will work on the account.
