Alissa Southworth, once press secretary for Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), is lobbying for the company.

Forest Investment Group, an investment management firm, has hired Wiley Rein to lobby on the American Jobs Act as well as the supercommittee, especially on “issues relating to spectrum and incentive auctions,” among other issues, according to lobbying disclosure records. John Simpson, a former legislative aide to Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.), and Scott Weaver, once chief of staff to ex-Rep. Katherine Harris (R-Fla.), are lobbying for the company.
Citadel Investment Group has hired the Delta Strategy Group to “monitor derivatives legislation and regulations,” according to lobbying disclosure records. Graham Harper, once a legislative aide to the Senate Agriculture Committee, and James Newsome, former chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, are lobbying for the company.
• HEALTHCARE. Allergan, the global pharmaceutical company based in Irvine, Calif., has hired Trimpa Group to lobby on “bariatric surgery around healthcare implementation,” according to lobbying disclosure records. Ted Trimpa, a former legislative aide to ex-Sen. Nancy Kassebaum (R-Kan.), is lobbying for the company.
• MARITIME. Maersk Inc., the maritime transportation company, has hired Turner Pollard Strategies to lobby on the Jones Act, the Maritime Security Program and the Harbor Maintenance Trust Fund, among several other issues, including “the protection of U.S. merchant ships from piracy,” according to lobbying disclosure records. John Pollard, once on the staff of former Rep. Ike Skelton (D-Mo.) and the House Armed Services Committee, is lobbying for the company.
