Under Contract

Comprehensive Health Services, Incorporated won a five-year contract worth nearly $5 million to provide medical examinations to former employees of the Department of Energy, the company said in a release. It will continue its partnership with Oak Ridge Associated Universities to carry out the services, which are part of the National Supplemental Screening Program. Established in 2005, the program allows former Energy Department officials who may have been exposed to hazardous substances at work to receive free medical screenings. Comprehensive Health Services has conducted more than 1,500 exams each year in more than 1,700 clinics in North America.

• The U.S. Agency for International Development is investing almost $1.5 million in its Diamer-Bhasha Dam project in Pakistan. IMG Rebel Advisory Services won the contract to provide financial advice for the project. The contractor will help the Pakistani government come up with the most cost-effective financing options for the dam, which is expected to cost many millions of dollars and is still years away from completion. IMG Rebel is “responsible for ‘litmus testing’ debt and equity market participants such as commercial banks,” construction companies, equipment suppliers and export credit agencies.

• The State Department signed a multi-year contract worth up to $5.3 million with VariQ to help complete department’s the Office of Antiterrorism Assistance training program. The contractor will plan the training courses and provide instructors. “Partner nation attendees, ranging from first responders to senior nation leadership, acquire the competencies required for the prevention, detection and response to digital based incidents,” contract documents say. Classes tackle topics that include “digital investigations.”
