Under Contract
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau appeared to award a wide-ranging contract to four different consulting firms to help it distribute payments to eligible victims of financial crimes prosecuted by the government. The work will include determining who is able to receive those funds and creating websites for each matter. “This will establish a process which will both minimize waste, fraud, and abuse, and implement strong internal controls.” A statement of work document within the contract says that the maximum value of the work is $35.3 million, though the awards do not list how much each contractor is receiving. Rust Consulting, Kurtzman Carson Consultants, Epiq Class Action & Claims Solutions and Analytics Consulting each won a contract.
The Federal Highway Administration awarded a $334,500 contract to Kovillic Construction Co. The work consists of fixing up three bridges within the Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site located in Hyde Park, N.Y.
{mosads}The State Department spent more than $224,000 on custom rugs and other furnishings for four different U.S. diplomatic compounds. Galleria International won a contract worth $64,442 to provide custom rugs to the chief of mission residence in Bamako, Mali; C.G. Coe & Son won a $40,485 contract, also for custom rugs, for the chief of mission residence in Santiago, Chile. That residence also received $85,613 worth of “representational furniture” from Vanguard Furniture. Noreen Seabrook Marketing was awarded a $34,066 contract for custom rugs for the deputy chief of mission residence in Chișinău, Moldova.
Olgoonik Diversified Services, of Anchorage, Alaska, won a $16.1 million contract from the State Department to upgrade the security surrounding the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq.
