• The Financial Services Roundtable hired Meg Burns to serve as its senior vice president of mortgage policy. She comes from consulting firm The Collingwood Group and previously worked as the senior associate director of the Office of Housing and Regulatory Policy at the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA). The Financial Services Roundtable also recently brought on former FHFA Director Ed DeMarco to lead its Housing Policy Council.
• The Organization for International Investment has named a new top lobbyist: Clinton Blair, who will serve as the group’s vice president of public policy and government affairs. He had been the vice president of government affairs at Jaguar Land Rover North America since 2009. Prior to that, he worked at the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers and on Capitol Hill for members of the House Appropriations Committee.
{mosads}• The American Conservative Union hired Michi Iljazi as director for government affairs. Before that, Iljazi worked as vice president of the Taxpayers Protection Alliance.
• Carolyn Lee is now the leader of the National Association of Manufacturers’ (NAM) Manufacturing Institute. The institute works on industry research and attracting talent to the manufacturing industry, among other things. Lee formerly served as NAM’s senior director of tax policy.
• Global firm Weber Shandwick and Powell Tate, its Washington-based public affairs affiliate, have promoted three. Pam Jenkins has been named president of the global public affairs practice at Powell Tate after serving as president of the firm for more than a decade. Jenkins succeeds Ranny Cooper, who will still lead special projects and consult for the firm’s clients. And Paul Massey will now serve as president of Powell Tate and continue to lead Weber Shandwick’s global social impact practice. Peter Carson, managing director of public affairs at Powell Tate, is taking on an expanded role by serving as the head of public affairs for Weber Shandwick in North America.
• AALU, the industry group for life insurance companies, hired Armstrong Robinson as vice president of legislative affairs, focusing on lobbying House and Senate Republicans. Robinson comes from lobbying firm Prime Policy Group.
