APPROPRIATIONS. Atlanta-based Hermeus Corporation, which is developing a Mach 5 aircraft, hired Velocity Government Relations to work on the defense appropriations bill; the commerce, justice, and science appropriations bill; the National Defense Authorization Act; the NASA Authorization Act; and the Intelligence Authorization Act. Erin Neal, former legislative assistant to ex-Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.), will work on the account.

{mosads}HEALTH CARE. Novo Nordisk, a biopharmaceutical company, hired Marshall & Popp to work on the Treat and Reduce Obesity Act. The firm’s founders, Hazen Marshall, former policy director to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), and Monica Popp, former chief of staff to Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), will work on the account.

ENVIRONMENT. California Waterfowl, a conservation nonprofit, hired Natural Resource Results to work on supporting waterfowl conservation funding and predator control measures. Garrett Durst, former deputy chief of staff to Rep. John Garamendi (D-Calif.), among others, will work on the account.

Sites Project Authority, a joint project authority for a reservoir based in California, also hired Natural Resource Results to work on supporting funding for reservoirs. Durst will also work on the account.
