Daris Meeks, former deputy assistant to President Trump and director of domestic policy for Vice President Pence, and Jared Stout, former deputy executive secretary and chief of staff of the National Space Council during the Trump administration, will work on the account.

Temple University in Philadelphia hired Horizon Government Affairs to work on telehealth, maternal health and minority health issues. Joel White, former staff director for Republicans on the House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee, will work on the account.

The Partnership to Advance Virtual Care, a telehealth advocacy coalition, hired McDermott+Consulting LLC to work on issues relating to expanding access to telehealth services for Medicare beneficiaries. Rachel Stauffer, former health policy director to Rep. Diana DeGette (D-Colo.), will work on the account.

TECHNOLOGY 

Platform company Notarize hired Mehlman Castagnetti Rosen & Thomas to work on issues related to remote online notarization, broadband access, and the gig and platform economy. Bruce Mehlman, former general counsel and policy director for the House Republican Conference, and David Castagnetti, former chief of staff to ex-Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.), will be among those working on the account.

HOYA Corporation USA, a technology company for semiconductor, digital equipment, and optical glass, hired McAllister & Quinn to work on general appropriations requests related to science, technology and defense. Chris Fish, former chief of staff to ex-Rep. John Sweeney (R-N.Y.), will work on the account.

MANUFACTURING

Basalt Engineering LLC, a manufacturing company, hired The Vogel Group to work on issues relating to the issuance of visas for manufacturing companies. Samir Kapadia, former staffer at the Heritage Foundation, will work on the account.
