FINANCIAL SERVICES

The American Fair Credit Council, an association of debt settlement companies, hired Allon Advocacy LLC to work on issues related to consumer unsecured debt settlement, debt relief and debt consolidation. Steven Boms, former legislative director to ex-Rep. Gary Ackerman (D-N.Y.), will work on the account.

The RLJ Companies LLC, a holding company for investments in media, entertainment, automotive and financial industries, hired Arent Fox LLP to work on legislation to incentivize equity investment in businesses owned by socially disadvantaged individuals. Oliver Spurgeon, former legislative correspondent to Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.), and Dan Renberg, a member of the board of directors of the Export-Import Bank from 1999 to 2003, will work on the account.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Donlin Gold LLC hired Cassidy & Associates to work on mine permitting matters. Kai Anderson, former deputy chief of staff to ex-Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.), and John Dearborn, former senior counsel for Republicans on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, will work on the account.

Heuristic Actions Inc. hired The Vogel Group to work on issues around assessing aging and deficient bridges. Samir Kapadia, former government relations staffer at the Heritage Foundation, will work on the account.

TECHNOLOGY

UltiSat hired The Vogel Group to work on issues concerning satellite communication services. Alex Vogel, former chief counsel to ex-Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tenn.), will work on the account.

Citizens Climate Lobby hired Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC to work on strategy development and implementation of federal initiatives relating to technology neutral solutions to address climate change. Edward Hild, former chief of staff to Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), will work on the account.

LABOR

The Missouri Association of Sheltered Workshop Managers, which supports workshops and programs for people with disabilities, hired 535 GROUP LLC to work on federal minimum wage legislation. Jefferies Murray, former chief of staff to ex-Rep. Bud Cramer (D-Ala.), will work on the account.
