• David Hebert has created a new government-relations firm called the DEH Group. Former Rep. George Radanovich (R-Calif.) will be the senior adviser to the new firm. Hebert most recently worked for the American Healthcare Association, where he was the senior vice president for policy and government relations. Before that, he worked for former House Majority Whip Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) as chief of staff and for former Rep. Jack Buechner (R-Mont.) as legislative director, and spent time as counsel for Alston & Bird.
{mosads}• Heather Richman has come to SNR Denton as the public policy and regulation practice’s senior managing director for the Silicon Valley office. Richman comes from GreenLight Strategies, where she focused on federal funding for technology companies. She previously worked for Sens. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.).
• Eric Geppert has joined DLA Piper’s Washington office as a corporate practice partner. Geppert leaves his position as business group coordinator at Baker Hostetler and team member for the Media, Green Business and Sustainability and International Transactions Teams practice.
• Peter Dugas has joined Clark Hill as the new director of government affairs. Dugas leaves a boutique government affairs firm where he was vice president of government relations. He also served in the Office of Legislative Affairs as the deputy assistant secretary for the Treasury Department under former President George W. Bush. Before that, he worked at the Treasury Department’s Community Development Financial Institutions Fund, where he was manager of public and legislative affairs.
• Ciara Matthews has been tapped to be the Susan B. Anthony List’s next communications director. Matthews worked on Sharron Angle’s Senate campaign in 2010 as deputy communications director. She has also worked for the Nevada Republican Party as communications director and handled communications work for Nevada Right to Life.
