• Ayal Frank has started with Qorvis Communications as a managing director. Frank left the American Business Development Group, where he was a senior consultant. Before that, Frank worked as a military legislative assistant for then-Rep. Jim Maloney (D-Conn.).

{mosads}• Dana Singiser will work for Planned Parenthood as vice president for public policy and government relations, beginning in December. She is currently a White House special assistant to the president for legislative affairs. Before working for Barack Obama as president, she worked for both his and now-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaigns. She has also worked for the Senate Democratic Steering and Outreach Committee as staff director.

• Randy Ford has joined LRG Public Affairs Inc. as vice president. Ford previously worked for the Association of Defense Communities as director of legislative affairs. He also worked for then-Rep. John Tanner (D-Tenn.) as chief of staff and communications director and for the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States as communications manager.

• Catherine Finley has joined Thorn Run as a partner. Finley previously worked for Capitol Counsel as a principal. Before that, she worked on Capitol Hill as the Senate Special Committee on Aging staff director and as senior health policy adviser for Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-Maine). She also worked for the Southern Governors Association as legislative director for health and human services.

• Randall Whitestone has come to the Carlyle Group as communications director for the Americas. Whitestone leaves Neuberger Berman, where he held the position of global head of corporate communications. Before that, he was a senior vice president of corporate communications for Lehman Brothers and a reporter at Bloomberg News, American Digital Media and The Associated Press.
