• Inez Tenenbaum, the head of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, will join the law firm Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough on Dec. 1. She is leaving the role after serving since 2009. At the firm, she will work within its product safety, risk prevention and regulatory practice. Tenenbaum oversaw the completion of 50 safety rules at the agency following the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act. 

• Louise Hilsen, a former lobbyist for Nestle USA, has joined Kelley Drye & Warren’sWashington office, bringing more than 25 years of legislative advocacy and strategy experience. Hilsen will serve as a senior adviser in the firm’s government relations and public policy practice. Prior to working at Nestle, she held senior positions with several members of Congress.

{mosads}• The global tax firm KPMG named Kymberly Messersmith a managing director in its government affairs practice in Washington. She boasts more than 25 years of lobbying experience, having worked at KM Strategies LLC/3 Click Solutions and at American Express as vice president of state government affairs.

• Ready for Hillary, a super-PAC encouraging a Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, announced that Jessica Grounds would lead the newly created a women’s office. Grounds will lead a grassroots campaign to “[maximize] the enthusiasm among women for a potential Hillary run.”  

• The Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities hired Michael Dakduk as its vice president of military and veterans affairs, a newly created position. Before that, he was the executive director of Student Veterans of America. 

• Former securities regulator Martin P. Dunn has become a partner in Morrison & Foerster’s Washington office. Before that, he worked for O’Melveny & Myers, and also spent two decades at the Securities and Exchange Commission. At the regulator, Dunn most recently served as the deputy director and the acting director of the agency’s Division of Corporation Finance. 

• Jeffrey Robinson has rejoined Lewis Baach; Robinson is a founding partner ofthe firm. He spent the last four years as an associate-director counsel for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. In returning to Lewis Baach, Robinson will lead the firm’s complex litigation practice, while also expanding its lobbying work.
