• Van Scoyoc Associates hired appropriations staffer Harry Glenn as a vice president. Prior to that, he served as the chief of staff to the late Rep. C. W. Bill Young (R-Fla.) for nearly two decades. He helped the congressman during his time on the House Appropriations Committee and the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense. Glenn specializes in national security, biomedical research, healthcare, education, and infrastructure projects.
 
{mosads}• USTelecom hired Galen Roehl as its vice president of government affairs. He will start on March 21. Roehl is a telecommunications and technology policy analyst for the U.S. Senate Republican Policy Committee, but has also held positions within the Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Consumer Protection, where he advised Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) on technology issues. Roehl also worked within the offices of former Rep. Connie Mack (R-Fla.) and then-Sen. Sam Brownback (R-Kan.), now the governor of the Kansas.
 
• Daniel Rutherford Wilson joined Compassion & Choices, a nonprofit that advocates for end-of-life education and individual choices. Prior to that, he was the director of the policy and program development for the National Caucus and Center on Black Aged, a group “dedicated to preserving the dignity and enhancing the lives of low income elderly African Americans.” Wilson also worked in the office of Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and at the Office of Management and Budget during the Clinton administration.
 
• Connect Strategic Communications, a Republican digital advertising and communications firm, has rebranded itself as BEAST Digital. It is based in Dallas but has offices in Washington D.C. and Phoenix. Its chief executive, Ryan Cassin, says he plans to split time between Dallas and Washington. The firm’s leadership also includes seasoned campaign operatives Jon Minjoe, Sean McCaffrey and Josh Kivett, who is spending most of his time with the Republican National Committee during this campaign cycle. The firm has worked with clients such as Sens. Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), James Inhofe (R-Okla.) and Rep. Kristi Noem (R-S.D.).
 
• The National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) named Jessica R. Davis as the director of its political action committee and as the director of political outreach.  Before that, she served as the political and PAC manager for K Street titan Patton Boggs. During the 2004 and 2008 elections, Davis worked with the Democratic National Committee and organized fundraisers and other events for then-candidates Barack Obama, John Kerry and Hillary Clinton.
