• Joel D. Kassiday, a veteran Capitol Hill staffer, has become a vice
president at the lobbying firm HillStaffer, which hires former senior
congressional and other federal staffers. Kassiday worked as chief of
staff to former Republican Reps. Elton Gallegly (Calf.), Rick Lazio
(N.Y.) and an assistant to Hank Brown (Colo.), eventually transitioning
into Brown’s Senate office. He also served as the press secretary to
Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas).

{mosads}• CohnReznick hired Robert C. Moss as a principal and national director of government affairs. Prior to that, he worked as the senior vice president and director of origination and affordable housing at Boston Capital. Moss has worked with Congress to continue extending the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program while at the nonprofit Housing Advisory Group and also served as the federal legislative subcommittee chairman for the Housing Credit Group of the National Association of Home Builders.

• UMS Advisory brought on George Bouri to become the firm’s senior partner and managing director. Before that, he worked as the senior vice president of global shared services real estate and facilities for Time Warner. He also has experience at Deloitte Consulting, Andersen Business Consulting, Sun Microsystems, Hewlett Packard, according to a press release.

• Loretta Tuell, a former Senate Indian Affairs Committee senior staffer, has formed her own strategic advice firm called iNative Consulting. It aims to tailor federal government relations advice to tribal governments, Native American institutions, associations, organizations and individuals. Tuell is 100 percent Native American, adding to her two decades of experience as an attorney, an Interior Department official and a senior staffer to the late Sen. Daniel Inouye (D-Hawaii).

• The Raben Group added Chris Cormier as a director, Malika Saada Saar as a special counsel on human rights and Lia Seremetis and Gabi K. Huesca as associates. Cormier most recently worked as a senior member of Gill Action, a political group fighting for LGBT equality. Saada Saar will continue her role as the director of the Human Rights Project for Girls (Rights4Girls), which focuses on the human rights of vulnerable girls in the United States. Before that, she co-founded the Rebecca Project for Human Rights, a policy and advocacy organization for women and families.
