Business Roundtable announced Kristen Silverberg will be their new executive vice president of policy. Silverberg will start in February when she leaves her post as managing director of the Institute of International Finance.

Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi joined Ballard Partners to launch its corporate regulatory compliance practice. She will serve as chairwoman of the practice, which will focus on helping Fortune 500 companies address public policy challenges such as human trafficking, opioid abuse and personal data privacy. Bondi, a Republican, was first elected state attorney general in 2010 and served for two terms.

{mosads}Derron Parks joined the government and public relations firm Federal Street Strategies. He was the senior manager and counsel for government relations at Samsung Electronics before the move and previously was a staff director for the Senate Special Committee on Aging.

Lyndon Boozer, previously a lobbyist with AT&T, is moving to Capitol Counsel. He will join the Communications and Technology Practice and focus on lobbying House Democratic leadership and the House Energy and Commerce Committee and Judiciary Committee.

The American Psychological Association named Katherine B. McGuire its first chief advocacy officer. McGuire previously was the assistant secretary for congressional and intergovernmental affairs at the Department of Labor.

Lauren Pfingstag will be associate director of government relations and public policy at the International Franchise Association. She previously was a legislative assistant for Sen. Angus King (I-Maine).

Republic Consulting hired George Robb Rogers, who will work with former Rep. Geoff Davis (R-Ky.), as a managing partner. Rogers previously was chief executive at Wexler | Walker, which shut down at the end of 2018. The firm also hired former Wexler | Walker employees Jody Hoffman, Tom Carpenter, Dale Snape, former Rep. Bob Walker (R-Pa.) and Natalie Nehme.
