• Miller & Chevalier announced that Abigail Stokes joined as counsel in the firm’s government contracts practice. She spent almost 10 years as a government contracts attorney for the Department of the Navy.

• Concerned Veterans for America announced that Nate Anderson will be executive director. He previously was deputy director and replaces Dan Caldwell, who will be a senior adviser.

{mosads}• Eli Zupnick is a managing principal at Precision Strategies. He was communications director for Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) for five years and before that was communications director for the Senate Budget Committee.

• Todd Breasseale is the director of public affairs communications at Microsoft. He previously worked in communications at Facebook and before that worked at the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense.

• Shawn Rusterholz is manager of government affairs at the American Petroleum Institute. He previously worked on government affairs at Chevron and before that was finance director of the Revitalize Virginia PAC.

{mossecondads}• Akin Gump announced that Clete Willems, former deputy assistant to President Trump for international economic affairs, deputy director of the National Economic Council and a member of the National Security Council, will join the firm in June as a partner in its public law and policy practice. 

• M.J. Kenny, deputy floor director for Sen. Dick Durbin (Ill.), the Senate Democratic whip, will be a principal at Kountoupes Denham Carr & Reid.
