Greg Lorjuste was named chief of staff at the progressive nonprofit Acronym. He previously was director of scheduling and strategic planning in the Office of Barack and Michelle Obama for over three years, after the presidency. Before that, he worked at the White House for more than eight years and most recently was deputy assistance to the president.
H.K. Park, former vice president of the Cohen Group, was named managing director at the Crumpton Group. He will focus on strategy, risk, competitive intelligence and problem-solving. He was at Cohen Group for more than 19 years and before that was assistant to the secretary of Defense.
David O’Brien was named director of strategic communications at the National Association of Manufacturers. He previously was senior communications manager at the public relations firm Craft. Before that, he was press secretary for Rep. Kevin Brady (R-Texas) and was communications manager at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
The American Petroleum Institute named Lem Smith vice president for upstream policy and industry operations. He was a principal and partner at lobbying firm Squire Patton Boggs for more than three years and before that was director of U.S. government and regulatory affairs at the Encana Corporation and manager of government relations for the Rocky Mountains at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation.
