Jeanine Poltronieri joined the Internet Association as general counsel and senior vice president of legal and policy affairs. Poltronieri most recently was assistant vice president for federal regulatory affairs at AT&T and previously served as chief legal adviser to the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau.

Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP hired Matthew Berry as a partner in its regulatory practice. Berry most recently served as chief of staff to the Federal Communications Commission under former Chairman Ajit Pai.

Robert Gardner joined Baker Donelson as a public policy adviser. Gardner previously served as legislative aide to Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.). 

The American Forest Foundation, which represents family forest owners, hired Michael Reed as vice president of public policy. Reed previously served as chief of staff to Rep. Sanford Bishop Jr. (D-Ga.), chairman of the House Appropriations Committee’s agriculture subcommittee.

Sean Deverey joined Honeywell International Inc. as director of government affairs. Deverey most recently led government affairs for drone technology firm Iris Automation Inc. and previously served as legislative director for former Rep. Rob Andrews (D-N.J.).

Alexion Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of AstraZeneca, named Delman Lebel head of U.S. government affairs and policy. Lebel joined the firm in March as head of strategic alliance development and previously led state government affairs for Regeneron Pharmaceuticals.
