Unplugged: 50 Most Beautiful nominations

Most of the nominations that come into The Hill for its annual 50 Most Beautiful People issue bear just the facts: name, photo, place of employment. Others, however, go into great detail about the proposed beauty. This feature is a nod to those who took the time to put forth their most convincing — and amusing — arguments for placing their nominees on this year’s list.

I suppose everybody gives the “please don’t tell my nominee that I nominated them” disclaimer … and as a nonpartisan entity, I can’t really sign my name to this. Anonymity notwithstanding, I’ve always found [MEMBER OF CONGRESS] to be incredibly attractive. I’m not sure if I have to give reasons, but if I do … he is the consummate gentleman, is firm in his faith, stands up for his principles and consistently says what he means/means what he says. He also has a spectacular personality, a wicked sense of humor and a genius-level IQ. He’s the kind of man that makes you want to be a better person, and the more I get to know (about) him, the more I like/respect him. Hell, if he weren’t a congressman, [NAME] would be exactly the kind of man I’d want to date.

{mosads}Oh, a minor point: his compact build, [HAIR COLOR], [EYE COLOR] combination? Smokin.’

And so, my nominee. I can’t believe I just put all that in writing. *blush*

Roses are red, violets are blue

We have a boy in our office that we think will suit you

His name is [NAME] and he is easy on the eyes

He is one of our very favorite guys

He just rocked out on the [ENTRANCE EXAM] so you know he is smart

A bonus to that is he has a wonderful heart

He just completed a [RUNNING] dash

Because he is so great he even has his own form of cash!

He is enamored by snowflakes, likes skyscrapers and lakes

We certainly think he has what it takes

He is smart, sweet and cute and should be your pick

With him on your list, your 2010 top 50 is sure to be sick

Who is [NAME] and why am I nominating her?

[NAME’s] beauty, charm, and style equates to J. M. Barrie’s quote from “What Every Woman Knows” defining charm: “It’s a sort of bloom on a woman. If you have it, you don’t need to have anything else; and if you don’t have it, it doesn’t much matter what else you have.”

Few “Beautiful People” have it “ALL.” [NAME] emits it “ALL.” … natural beauty, charm, compassion and a sense of humbleness despite her recognized beauty. That’s precisely why I am nominating her.

[NAME] can be seen daily at the side of [MEMBER OF CONGRESS], as his [POSITION], on the Hill.

{mosads}Upon obtaining her [DEGREE] from [COLLEGE], at 23, [NAME] headed to D.C. to fulfill her dream, instead of returning to [STATE], her home. … [NAME’s] a devoted fellow worker, and is incredibly gracious, with classic beauty and style.

While covering the Inauguration, a homeless woman approached [NAME], turned her around, and stated: “Girl, Jennifer Aniston’s got nothing on you. You look just like her, but you’re prettier!!!” And with [NAME’s] grace & beauty … she thanked the woman for the beautiful compliment. That woman made [NAME’s] day in addition to the historic Inauguration and touched her heart at the historic event, personally, as well.

[NAME’s] beautiful inside & out & people sense that about [NAME]. [NAME] is one of “The Hill’s 50 Most Beautiful” every day.
