Q Do you do any impressions of anyone
Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.): “I do an impression of [the late] Sen. [Strom] Thurmond but I wouldn’t claim I’m good. It’s really a fine art in South Carolina to be able to do impressions of Strom Thurmond.”
Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.): “I don’t have any good ones.”
Rep. Shelley Berkley (D-Nev.): [laughs] “I do a crazy Patsy Cline.”
Rep. Mike Conaway (R-Texas): “No. Everyone I would try to do would be a bad one.”
Rep. Bob Inglis (R-S.C.): “I attempt a Senator Thurmond or a Senator Hastings, but I’m not any good at them.”
Rep. Charles Pickering (R-Miss.): “I wish I did but I don’t.”
Rep. Mike Simpson (R-Idaho): “I impersonate being a congressman. I have to admit, when I’m home alone and in the shower, I sound like Frank Sinatra. People don’t agree with that though.”
Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.): “I do a great one of Steve King.” [Goes on to say he was actually Steve King doing an impression of Tancredo, before he then said he really was Tancredo. The two look so alike, even pages confuse them all the time.] Just to add to the confusion, he says, “I do a great impression of Tom Tancredo!”
Rep. Rodney Alexander (R-La.): “It’s hard enough for me to do myself.”
Rep. Gary Ackerman (D-N.Y.): “I do an impression of the Berlin wall. I just stand around.”
Rep. Brian Baird (D-Wash.): “I do Bush. I won an award for funniest celebrity in D.C. Every once in a while I’ll also do a Charlie Rangel. I’m working on John Lewis; the trick is to go like this” — [hunches his shoulders and tucks his head in.]
Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.): “Sometimes I ham it up, but never a particular person, I don’t imitate.”
Rep. Kenny Hulshof (R-Mo.): “I’m more into music and doing the drums for the Second Amendments.”
