JOB MOVES

Family Planning Association gets new president and CEO: The National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association announced Clare Coleman as its new president and CEO. Coleman has been president and CEO of Planned Parenthood for the Mid-Hudson Valley in New York for three years. She previously spent over a dozen years in D.C. working with Democratic and Republican leaders, including Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Rep. Nita Lowey (D-N.Y.) and former Rep. George Hockbrueckner (D-N.Y.). Coleman also lobbied for the Planned Parenthood Federation of America from 1996 to 1999.

{mosads}Legislative assistant now father of four girls: Matthew Stroia, legislative assistant for Rep. Todd Tiahrt (R-Kan.), and his wife Andee had twin girls on Feb. 11. Penelope Claire weighed in at 6 pounds, 2 ounces and was 18 inches long. Phoebe Joan weighed in at 4 pounds, 15 ounces and was 17 inches long. Older sisters Ella and Sophia like to think they each have their own baby doll now.

Military legislative assistant welcomes new daughter: LCDR Axel Spens, military legislative assistant for Rep. Jack Kingston (R-Ga.), and wife Susan welcomed daughter Amanda Christine Spens into the family on June 12 at 7:01 p.m. Amanda weighs in at 10 pounds, 7 ounces and was 21 inches long. She was born one week early at the Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington. Older brother Adam, 2, likes to try to help his parents change Amanda’s diaper. He also says his baby sister cries a lot.
