Sen. Scott Brown invites 26,000 to Christmas party
Clear your calendar, because you are officially invited to Sen. Scott Brown’s (R-Mass.) Christmas and holiday party this Friday night in Boston.
The freshman senator on Wednesday invited the more than 26,000 people who follow him on Twitter to join him at the tony Park Plaza Hotel in Back Bay for a reception to celebrate the season.
{mosads}The best thing about the party? Entertainment will be provided by two Massachusetts celebs: Brown’s daughter, 2006 “American Idol” finalist Ayla Brown, and former Boston College and NFL quarterback Doug Flutie.
Flutie will play drums with his brother Darren on guitar — together they’re the Flutie Brothers Band. Doug Flutie endorsed Brown during his 2009 Senate campaign.
As with many politicians’ holiday parties, this one is a fundraiser — but luckily it’s less expensive than one might expect, and with arguably better music. Tickets for the reception begin at $100, and go all the way up to a co-chairman’s ticket for those who raise or contribute $10,000.
