Rep. Rangel takes refuge in unlikely spot
Rangel came out of the meeting at about 7:30 p.m. and turned right out the triple doors, but, spotting a gaggle of reporters waiting in the tunnel, turned on his heels and ducked into the closest door available.
But it wasn’t just any door — it was the door to the GOP Transition Office, and there, behind the frosted glass doors, the recently censured Democrat had a few minutes, presumably, to himself.
{mosads}When Rangel finally popped out of what is officially House Majority Transition Committee Chairman Rep. Greg Walden’s (R-Ore.) office, there were far fewer reporters, and Rangel departed out the left side of the caucus room this time, not the right.
